Classed 'jardin remarquable' in 2004, the Vauville Botanical gardens cover over 9 acres and are home to more than 700 species from the southern hemisphere. Around the chateau, architectural jewel of the Cotentin peninsula, the gardens are like a succession of green rooms with an extraordinary subtropical atmosphere, overlooking the sea.
Classed as a Historical monument in 1992 and as a Jardin remarquable in 2004.
Vauville been honoured with the French Heritage Society prize (USA – 2005) and the Pictet Prize (Switzerland – 2006).
