The bay of Sciotot, protected from the wind by the Cap de Flamanville, is perfect for surfing and land-yachts.
Overlooking Sciotot, the panorama of the Roche à Coucou stretches from the cap de la Hague to cap de Carteret, one of the best views in the region. At the foot of Cap du Rozel there used to be a village called le Pou - the Louse!
From the clifftop a marvellous view of the whole beach and the statue of Maris Stella (star of the sea) or Our-Lady of the mariner. At Surtainville, the long beach of fine sand is loved by water sport lovers. From here the dunes stretch up to Cap de Carteret.
