This is a preserved site where 3 km of fine sand beach and dunes run naturally alongside.
In July and August, in partnership with the 'Fédération Francaise de Natation' – the swimming French federation- this exceptional seaside also permits sports educators from the pool in Les Pieux to teach sea swimming in safe conditions, taking waves, currents and tides into account. This is the ' Nagez Grandeur Nature ' program.
Within the framework of 'Venez passer l'été sur la plage', you may meet at the beach all summer for sports activities: soccer, sand-ball, rugby, etc.
This beach is watched over by MNS lifeguards during summer time.
Moreover, the sea is for everybody thanks to an idea, the 'Tiralo': all summer long from 11am to 7pm, you may go to the MNS first-aid post and ask for amphibious equipment thus permitting disabled people to go bathing.
